South Harrison is using a unique form of advertisement for their recent bus driversā position opening. A sign posted on the front of the bus, parked near the entrance of the school, displays the job opportunity.
Superintendent Dennis Eastin said the school currently needs two to three drivers for their activity runs, which include sporting events and field trips. They have had some interest in the position, but are still accepting applications at this time.
The school owns 20 busses for the job, although they do not use all of the busses everyday. Some busses are used as backup in case another breaks down.
On average the busses transport about 470 kids each day to and from school and events. Routes for next fall will not be determined until they get closer to that time.
