Two persons hurt when car hits animal

Two Kansas City, Mo., residents were injured Nov. 19 when their vehicle struck an animal on I-35, about two miles south of Eagleville.
According to the Highway Patrol, Barbara M. Selvy, 51, was driving a 2017 Ford Escape south on I-35 at about 9:35 p.m. when she struck an animal that had wandered onto the road. The car came to a controlled stop on the west shoulder.
Selvy received moderate injuries and a passenger Frank A. Montes, 52, received minor injuries. They were transported by North Harrison ambulance to the Harrison County Community Hospital. The patrol reported that both were wearing safety devices.
Sgt. J. S. Johnson investigated the accident.
