Harrison County Community Hospital personnel present a check for $6,200 to the Harrison County Transportation Fund. The check represented the proceeds from the hospital’s sixth annual Hospital Fun Run & Walk fundraiser, which was held on October 10. Pictured with a commemorative check are hospital radiology staff members Tammie Johnson, Kerri Simmerman, Jessie McQuinn, Jenna Tatum, Erica Babinski, and Peggy Slatten; Harrison County Transportation Fund volunteers Rhonda Deskins and Carole Barton, and hospital CEO Kelly Pottorff. The Transportation Fund provides financial assistance for Harrison County residents who have been diagnosed with cancer and are traveling to receive treatment. The Hospital Hill Run has raised nearly $40,000 to support local cancer patients since 2010.
