Children taking part in the Bethany Public Library’s summer reading program huddle in the arms of “Archie the Alien,” who was the mascot of the program, during a pool party at the Bethany Aquatic Center. Archie, the friendly green alien from outer space, began his journey across town while looking for his twin brother Astro, finally arriving at the swimming pool in time for the party. About 20 kids attended the event at the pool.
