Teacher creates block for Missouri Bicentennial Quilt

Submitted photo–Celebrating the Bicentennial: Cheryl Klingensmith points to the Harrison County block in the Missouri Bicentennial Quilt which will be displayed around the state during the celebration of the 200th anniversary of Missouri’s founding. Cheryl created the block representing Harrison County in the quilt (it can be seen at the center of the top row.) The quilt was unveiled last week in a ceremony in Jefferson City.

Cheryl Klingensmith, who teaches the clothing class at South Harrison, traveled to the Missouri Governor’s Mansion last week to view the Bicentennial quilt that was created to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the state of Missouri.
