Bethany, MO: Rotary members came to Bethany recently to pick up a load of shoes for a program to distribute footwear for children in needy countries. Larry Lunsford, standing on the left, led the shoe drive in Rotary District 6030. Jack McCall, pictured with his children Joel and Nora in the back of the truck, led the Bethany Rotary Club’s shoe drive. The club collected 314 shoes during the drive and distributed 154 of them to local schools through guidance counselors. The remaining 160 shoes were picked up in the shoe caravan during a stop at Eckard’s Community Center. Others pictured include visitors from the South American nation of Chile.–Submitted photo
