Harrison County, MO: South Harrison: preschool open house for 4 year olds, morning class will be August 21, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., afternoon class will be August 21, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. 3 year old open house will be, morning class, August 22, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., afternoon class will be August 22, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Preschool begins Thursday, August 23.
Elementary school registration dates are Monday, August 6 and Tuesday, August 7 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1- 3 p.m. Parents who cannot make it to register students on the given dates should call the elementary office at 425-8061. To register parents will need: the child’s birth certificate and social security card, child’s immunization records and address of school last attended. Open house will be Monday, August 20, 5:30-7 p.m.
Middle school registration dates are Monday, August 13, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for 8th grade; Tuesday, August 14, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for 7th grade; Tuesday, August 14, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. for 5th grade; Wednesday, August 15, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for 6th grade. Chrome books for 7th grade will be disbursed at registration, insurance available.
High school registration dates are Monday, August 13, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for senior registration; Tuesday, August 14 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for junior registration; Wednesday, August 15, for sophomore registration; Tuesday, August 14 at 7 p.m. for freshman registration/orientation parents are welcome. Chrome books will be disbursed at registration/orientation, insurance available.
Classes start Wednesday, August 22 with a full day.
North Harrison registration: Preschool through 6th grade back to school night for students to place their supplies and meet their teachers is set for Monday, August 20, 5:30 – 7 p.m. The PTO will be serving hot dogs during this event.
7th grade and new 7-12th grade student orientation will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 20.
8th through 12th grade registration will be Monday and Tuesday, August 6 and 7, 1 – 7 p.m. each day for students to confirm their schedule, review their four-year plan of study and to enroll in dual credit courses.
Cainsville R-I: Registration will be August 7th and 8th. Grades 7th, 8th and 9th will be on August 7, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Grades 10th, 11th and 12th will be on August 8th 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Open house will take place August 14, 6-7 p.m.
Ridgeway registration dates: August 6th from 12 – 6 p.m. and August 7th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
New teachers at Ridgeway include Annette Wilson, music teacher; Suzanne Slaughter, first and second grade; Takaya Pottorff, preschool/art; Teresa Griffith, special education; Stephanie Thurston, principal’s secretary.
Gilman City: School has had a few changes in their teacher line up with Jill Sperry moving from third grade to now being the elementary and high school principal. Other new teachers will be Keely Waddle, third grade; Jackie Wyant, sixth grade; Kaitlyn Eoff, second grade.
Registration for the upcoming school year will be August 13 and 14, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. and 1-2 p.m. each day. Open house is August 20 from 6-7 p.m. The first day of classes is August 22 with an early out at 12:35 p.m.
