The Resound Fest Christian music festival this Friday and Saturday, June 12-13, at the Miracle Hills Ranch, launches a summer filled with festivals and big events culminating in the 99th Northwest Missouri State Fair on Labor Day weekend.
Campers have already begun to move into the 55-acre Miracle Hills festival grounds preparing for the performances of several of the top Christian music bands and singers.
Other events coming up in June are the Harrison County Relay for Life on June 20 in Gilman City, the Bicycle Across Missouri ride coming to Bethany on June 24 and the Eagleville Festival on June 27.
Miracle Hills will be a busy place all through the summer with a camping season that began last week.
“We sandwich the festival in between our regular summer camps,” said Trisha Spurling.
The event gets underway at 4 p.m. Friday when Waiting Here performs on the camp’s 360 Stage. This will be followed by Fight the Fade at 5 p.m. and Light Up the Darkness at 6 p.m. The activities wrap up with worship under the stars at 11 p.m.

The Miracle Hills campgrounds will have a wide range of activities for children and adults ranging from swimming and water slides to canoeing on the large lake. There also are basketball and volleyball courts.
A Little Olympics for children will be held on the grounds during Saturday’s schedule.
The Christian rock group for King and Country will be the headline performers on Saturday night. The Australian-American brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone won praise for their 2012 debut record “Crave.” The singers took home three awards including artist of the year, best live show and group/duo of the year at the K-Love Fan awards show.
