Harrison County Prosecutor Cristine Stallings said the state may request a new autopsy on the body of Anna Yoder Borntreger who allegedly was poisoned by her husband Samuel Borntreger in 2006 while the couple was living on their farm northwest of Bethany.
Samuel Borntreger of Summer Shade, Kentucky, waived formal arraignment and pled not guilty to first-degree murder charges in a hearing Tuesday morning before Circuit Judge Terry Alan Tschannen of the 9th Judicial Circuit, who was appointed by the Supreme Court to preside in the case.
