A decision made at the Bethany Post Office on Wednesday morning delayed the delivery of the Republican-Clipper until Thursday. The newspapers were at the post office as usual on Tuesday afternoon for processing and delivery on the next day. But the post office arbitrarily held up delivery because the paperwork and check did not accompany the newspapers. It has always been our routine to submit the paperwork and check to the post office on Wednesday morning. The postmaster did not notify us about the problem, deciding not to process the papers for Wednesday delivery. In the past we have encountered only occasional problems with the delivery of the newspaper but it has never been the result of actions taken by our local post office. We apologize for the later delivery.
