
New officials sworn in: Newly elected Harrison County officials took their oaths of office on Wednesday morning in the circuit court. They are from the left Associate Circuit Judge Jay Hemenway, Circuit Clerk Sherece Eivins, Prosecuting Attorney Alex Van Zandt and County Clerk Lee Ann Miles. Jack Hodge, who was re-elected as presiding commissioner, could not attend the ceremony.
Harrison County, MO: Two key county offices moved to new leadership as the calendar turned to 2023.
Alex Van Zandt, a native of the Kansas City area, succeeded Johnathan Meyer who had been county prosecutor since August 1, 2018. Van Zandt had been working at the prosecutor’s office in recent months as he becomes familiar with the office.
