Birthday for a veteran: Muriel Broce, who celebrated her 95th birthday Saturday night during a reception at the Catholic Church, served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.

Muriel Broce laughed when she took her Coast Guard picture to be displayed for the Veterans Day exhibit at the Bethany Post Office.
“I never thought that I would see my picture hanging on the post office wall,” she told Postmaster Cindy Daniel.
