Bethany, MO: Back to the 80s: The Bethany Community Foundation’s Ladies’ Lilacs & Lace Banquet was held on Tuesday, April 19, at a South Harrison High School Commons. This year the foundation provided a theme of “I love the 80s.” There were lots of neon outfits, leg warmers, big hair and even a pair of roller skates donned for the occasion. Many local businesses and individuals donated prizes, gift cards and monetary donations to make the event successful. The Bethany Community Foundation has worked on many community projects in the past and currently are working on having a couple of benches placed on 39th street and some upkeep on one of their murals on main street on the east side of Etta May’s building. Current foundation members are Tiffany Cox, Cassi Deskins, Amy Holloway, Amanda Reger, Michelle Schroff and Kinslee Vandiver.–Submitted photos
