Harrison County, MO: Matt Krohn of Princeton won election as judge of the 3rd Circuit Court, defeating incumbent Steve Hudson of Trenton by a large margin in the August primary election on Tuesday.

Krohn had been appointed judge of the district court by Governor Mike Parson following the death of Tom Alley. But, on Tuesday, Krohn who was serving as the associate circuit judge of Mercer County led Hudson by 2,511 to 675 votes at 10 p.m. last night in the four counties in the circuit, according to the Missouri Secretary of State’s office. Only a few precincts had not reported.

Krohn defeated Hudson by 1,150 votes to 295 votes in Harrison County, according to unofficial returns at the county clerk’s office.

In election for county offices, both incumbents on the Harrison County Commission won the Republican primary and will not face opposition in the November general election.

North District Commissioner Mike Smith, with 412 votes, defeated Rick Smith who polled 243 votes and Jerry Collins who received 123 votes. In the South District, incumbent Jim Holcomb held off challenger Clint Graham by 373-318 votes.
