After serving two years as city administrator, Jonne Slemons was sworn in Monday night as Bethany’s mayor, succeeding Todd Williams who had served in that office for two terms.
City Treasurer Amber Hoyle, who was filling in for City Clerk Nita Schroff who is recovering from knee surgery, administered the oath of office to Slemons and to Eastward Councilman Lance Johns and Westward Councilman who were re-elected to office in the April municipal election.
