Bethany, MO: The American Legion Post #216 honored Vietnam Veterans Day on March 29th with a free will donation supper and an auction that followed the event. Alan Guernsey, commander of the American Legion, said the expense of running the legion hall was going through the roof, going as far as calling the event and auction a source of supplemental income to help maintain the building and support other club functions. The Legion supports Boys State, American Legion baseball teams, American Legion Scholarships and other community events. The event was held as part of the national Vietnam Veterans Day celebration.
