Bethany, MO: Band to present winter concert
The South Harrison concert band will present its holiday concert on Thursday, Dec. 14, in the high school gymnasium.
The Middle School band will play at 6 p.m. followed by the High School band at 7:30 p.m.
The band also will be preparing for its performance at Missouri Music Educators Association on Jan 26 at Margaritaville at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Christmas lighting contest
The city of Bethany will be holding its Christmas decorations contest in December. Nominations for displays should be at City Hall by Friday, Dec. 8. The winners will be announced on Dec. 18.
The city will offer credits on electric bills for the customers in the amount of $500 for first place, $250 for second place and $100 for third place.
