Harrison County, MO: Banks and many businesses will be closed on Thursday, July 4, for the Independence Day celebration. There will be no mail delivery. The Bill and Liz Hogan Fourth of July Parade will be held starting at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bethany. It will be preceded by a hot dog eating contest at 2:30 p.m. and the presentation of parade grand marshal Dennis Eastin.
New Hampton Fire Department will serve its 58th Annual July 4th Breakfast at 7 – 10 a.m.
Mt. Moriah fireworks show at 6 p.m., Friday, July 5.
Cainsville’s Fourth of July Celebration and Car Show will be on Saturday, July 6. The parade will start at 10 a.m. Other events at the ball park.
Ridgeway’s Parade will be at 11 a.m. Saturday followed by lunch served by the Ridgeway Community Betterment Association. A Poker run will begin at 3 p.m. to benefit the Ridgeway dog pound.
The Bethany community fireworks show will be at dusk on Wednesday, July 3, at the Northwest Missouri State Fairgrounds.
The Republican-Clipper office will be closed on Thursday, July 4, for the holiday.
