Robert Todd Williams, former Bethany mayor, will be arraigned on Wednesday, Aug. 21, on charges of stealing and forgery while he was manager of the Bethany Peterbilt.
Williams faces four counts of stealing and 11 counts of forgery following a Highway Patrol investigation of allegations about his billing practices at Peterbilt.
Williams left the mayor’s office in April after he decided not to become a candidate for re-election.
City Administrator Jake Taylor said in a statement released last week that Williams did not have access to any funds while he was mayor, and the city had not set up Peterbilt as a vendor.
Williams will be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Associate Division of Harrison County Circuit Court.
