Up in flames: A Bethany fire truck was on the scene as firefighters attempting to control a midnight blaze that partially destroyed this home at 503 South 28th Street.
A fire gutted a vacant home on South 28th Street late Thursday night, near the Army Reserve Center.
Fire Chief David Kinnison said the fire was in the attic and was coming through the roof when the firemen arrived on the scene after 11 p.m.
