Barn in ruins: Smoke was still rising from a farrowing barn Sunday afternoon, 24 hours after a quick moving fire destroyed the building killing an unknown number of pigs.
A large farrowing barn containing thousands of feeder pigs and sows was consumed by fire Saturday morning at the Walnut Grove Pork Farm, north of Blythedale on county Route UU.
