Going south: The Fargo Assembly plant will be one of the latest manufacturing operations to move across the border to Mexico. The Fargo Assembly plant’s production of motorcycle wire harnesses will be sent about 1,000 miles down the highway to manufacturing plants it owns in Ciudad de Juarez, Mexico.
Juarez, known for its cheap labor and notorious for its high murder rate, has benefited for many years from American companies abandoning their factories to save production costs.
