Livestock producers hear about emergency assistance in drought

Bethany, MO: A large audience of farmers and ranchers received information last Thursday night on emergency programs that will be implemented to assist them through the severe drought.
Brett Gilland, director of the Harrison County Farm Service Agency office, said Harrison County on July 19 reached the threshold on the U.S. Drought Monitor to receive a D3 designation for extreme drought conditions.
