Dollar Tree opening this week: The Dollar Tree store’s parking lot is full while employees begin stocking the shelves of the new variety store that will be opening on Friday, Jan. 12, on East Miller Street near I-35. Dollar Tree, based in Chesapeake, Va., has more than 5,000 stores in the United States and Canada. The store is located at the former site of the Russell Stover outlet store.
According to information provided to the city by the developer, the Dollar Store will generate about $900,000 in sales a year and will have 10 employees. Dollar Tree presently has stores in Trenton, Maryville, Chillicothe and Savannah.
