Harrison County and the North Harrison Ambulance District have filed for a restraining order to prevent the NTA Ambulance District from entering into any contracts that “would impede with proper decision- making and functionality of the consolidated ambulance district.”
The Harrison County and NTA districts will merge into a single district on April 8, 2025, when a new six-member board will be elected. NTA has signaled its intention to contract with a non-profit board, North MO EMS, to fill a possible gap in ambulance service during the transition to the consolidated district. The non-profit board’s membership is composed entirely of current NTA board members.
Circuit Judge Matthew Krohn will hold a hearing on the petition for the restraining order at 9 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, in Harrison County Circuit Court.
The petition was filed by Travis Allen Elliott of Springfield, Missouri, on behalf of Harrison County and the North Harrison Ambulance District.
