Harrison County, MO: Harrison County and Bethany voters approved a 3 percent sales tax 456-124, Tuesday, April 4, on marijuana products in a municipal election. A statewide vote granted the sale of marijuana products in the state of Missouri in November of 2022.
Ridgeway School Board selected
Ridgeway, MO: The Ridgeway School Board candidates elected to two new terms Tuesday will be Brett Kilton and Matt Whitaker. Kilton received 47 votes for the position. Matt Whitaker received 27 votes.
There were two other candidates on the ballot and write-in votes. The two other candidates were Amber McFall who received 18 votes, Dallas Boswell who received 9 votes.
There were 41 write-in votes, however, according to the Missouri Election Code 115.453 Section 4, write-in votes shall be counted only for candidates to office who have filed a declaration of intent to be a write-in candidate for election to the office. There were no such write-in candidates who made that declaration for the Ridgeway School Board positions.
