The city of Bethany’s real estate and personal property tax rate will decline slightly this year after action taken Monday night by the City Council.
City Clerk Nita Schroff presented the proposed tax rates to the council during a public hearing at City Hall. The overall tax rate was reduced from $0.8667 cents to $0.8633 because of an increase in the city’s assessed valuation.
