Brooklyn Ellis, right, received the Mary Marie Smith scholarship from NWMSU. Ms. Smith was a chemist for Phillips Petroleum who graduated in 1941 from Bethany High School.

Harrison County, MO: Brooklyn Ellis, a chemistry student at Northwest Missouri State University from Bethany, has received the Mary Marie Smith scholarship from the Department of Natural Services at Northwest.
