Cement truck goes up in flames: Noon-time traffic through the hospital intersection was snarled last Thursday when a Wahoo cement truck caught fire. Bethany firemen poured water on the truck to cool down the flames. The truck was returning from a delivery in New Hampton when it caught fire. The driver, who was from Trenton, was able to escape from the truck without injuries. Removal of the truck by a wrecker was delayed because cement had fallen into the brakes and had to be chipped away before it could be removed. Bethany police and sheriff’s officers directed traffic through the intersection.
