City fills mayor vacancy: City Clerk Nita Schroff leads Dick Graner in the oath of office before he took his chair as mayor Monday night at City Hall. Graner was appointed by the city council to take the mayor’s position following the resignation of Joe Johnson.
After years of delay, the city of Bethany will be making a renewed push to revive the South TIF District intended to open up land south of the Walmart Supercenter for development.
