Bethany losing nursing home: The Bethany Care Center, located on South Street, will be closing in September, residents have been told. Some residents and staff and will be moving to the sister Crestview Home in Bethany.
Bethany Care Center residents and their families were notified last week that the nursing home will close no later than Sept. 14.
Word about the impending closing of the nursing home began circulating around the community during the past week. Some of the residents and the staff from the Bethany Care Center reportedly would be absorbed by its sister nursing home, Crestview.
