Bethany, MO: For nearly a month, the sound of chain saws has filled the air in Bethany, and many of the surrounding towns, all due to a derecho that hit the area this past June 29th. In true Missouri style, there were plenty of neighbors helping neighbors. However, several neighborhoods and communities alike also claim they couldn’t have gotten along without the aid of Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief, which is a cooperative, volunteer ministry of the Missouri Baptist Convention.
