Back to school bargains offered tax-free

Harrison County will be participating in the Missouri back to school tax-free holiday August 2 – 4. South Harrison, North Harrison and Gilman City school districts all begin the 2019-20 school year August 21. Cainsville and Ridgeway school districts begin August 14.
Purchases made in Harrison County will save 5.475% in taxes on their items. All cities in Harrison County are participating.
The sales tax exemption is limited to clothing, any article having a taxable value of $100 or less; school supplies, not to exceed $50 per purchase; computer software, taxable value of $350 or less; personal computers, not to exceed $1,500; computer peripheral devices, not to exceed $1,500; graphing calculators, not to exceed $150.
