The 135th Army National Guard band had students jumping in the stands and shining their cellphone lights during a concert Friday morning in the high school gymnasium. The students sang along with the lyrics of the popular songs during the hour-long performance. The school’s staff showed their appreciation when vocalist SCF. A vocalist sang to substitute teacher Mallorie Nighthart during one number, bottom right. The National Guard band from Springfield visited Bethany during a tour of Missouri schools. Former South Harrison middle school principal, Shane Jones, played his trumpet on one song, joining one of his former Cameron band students who performs with the 135th.
