Slemons, Johnson file for Bethany mayor

Retired Bethany city administrator Jonne Slemons filed as a candidate for mayor on Wednesday. She will face former mayor Joe Johnson in the April 3rd election.

Incumbent Bethany City Council members Randy Mann and Lance Johns have filed for re-election in the April 3 municipal election.

Mann represents the Westward and Johns the Eastward. The filing deadline is next Tuesday, Jan. 15.

Two persons have filed for the South Harrison school board by Monday evening. Jeremy VanMeter and C. F. Rainey have filed for the two open positions on the board. Raney currently serves on the board.
