Volunteers gathered at the Harrison County Law Enforcement Center Tuesday morning to resume the search for a Cessna airplane piloted by Kenny Stoner of Ridgeway. After reviewing maps, the team began searching areas north of the Bethany airport. Other searches are taking place in Gentry and Daviess counties. Mr. Stoner left the Maryville airport at about 4 p.m. on Sunday planning to fly to the Bethany airport. He never arrived at his destination. Law enforcement officers are reviewing cell phone pings that may indicate where the plane had flown. Visibility was low on Sunday evening and Monday morning because of heavy fog. Persons who have sightings or other information are asked to call the sheriff’s tips line at 660-425-7227.
