PATTONSBURG, Mo. — Authorities have found the wreckage of a missing small plane in northwest Missouri.
Gentry County emergency management director Jim Boothe says the Cessna 180 was found Tuesday in the northern part of the county. The St. Joseph News-Press reports that there is no immediate information on the condition of the plane or the pilot. Authorities have said a Ridgeway pilot was the plane’s sole occupant.
More than 100 people had searched on the ground and the air for the plane since it disappeared Sunday after taking off from the Northwest Missouri Regional Airport in Maryville. It was heading to the airport in Bethany, in Harrison County, but never arrived there.
