Joseph L. Comstock, 31, of Bethany, a former paramedic for area ambulance districts, was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Kansas City to 2 1/2 years in federal prison without parole. Comstock pleaded guilty in September to three counts of stealing vials of morphine and fentanyl for his personal use and replacing the pain-killing drugs with sterilized water.
