A group representing Dollar General Store has reached tentative agreement with the city of Bethany to purchase the present site of the Bethany Community Center and the fire station to build a new store. Mayor Patrick Miller said the company plans to close the sale in August and immediately begin construction of a new store. The newly-designed Dollar General Store would be completed by February of 2016. The purchase and future plans for the fire station will be discussed at Monday night’s City Council meeting.
