MCFALL, MO: Dennis Hornung, age 73, died at his home in McFall, MO on June 17, 2016. Dennis was born March 29, 1943 in Buffalo, NY to Irving and Edith Webster. He graduated high school in Buffalo, NY. Dennis served in the Air Force from January 21, 1964 to May 26, 1969 in Puerto Rico as an Airman 1st Class Flight Simulator then he went into the Air force Reserves After active duty.
Dennis was a passionate NRA supporter and active in the American Legion. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved working in his garages making things for other people and people loved visiting his garage just as much as he loved visiting with them. He lived in numerous states during his time as an Engineering Supervisor for the Hotel Industry, and upon retiring he moved to McFall, MO in November, 2011.
Dennis is preceded in death by his mother and father, Edith Webster and Irving Hornung.
He is survived by his wife Trudy P. Hornung of the home, his children, Leanne Paige Hornung of Independence, Kansas, Jay Barrett Hornung of Telluride, Colorado, Wesley Dale King and wife Laura of Denver Colorado, Gaylin Lajuan Read and husband Jeffrey of Coffey, Missouri, grandchildren, Jordan Kinsey Hornung of Ft. Lupton, Colorado, Jaimie Lin Saxon Read and Jared Eliel Read of Coffey, Missouri and Nephew, John Prescott III of Depew, New York and Sister, Nancy Prescott and husband John of Depew, New York.
Memorial Graveside Services and inurnment with military rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 23 at Coffey Cemetery, Coffey, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Relatives and friends are welcome at Toot Toot’s Restaurant after the services for lunch and visiting. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcome at American Legion Hall Post 216, Bethany, MO in care of Roberson Funeral Home, PO Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
