Pattonsburg, MO: Dallas O. “Jack” Lowrey, 98, Pattonsburg, MO passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023, at a Cameron, Missouri Veterans Home.

     He was born on August 1, 1925, in Pattonsburg, MO the son of Roy N. and Isabelle (Cameron) Lowrey.

     On April 8, 1944, he married Evalee Shipers in Olathe, Kansas. She preceded him in death on January 23, 2005.

     Jack graduated from Pattonsburg High School and served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Heath United Methodist Church and sang in the heath Quartet for over 50 years. Jack was active in the VFW Post #8824, a member of the I.O.O.F Lodge and participated in Honor Flight in 2014. He served on several boards including, the Pattonsburg Memorial Gardens cemetery board, Township board clerk, FSA board, local MFA board, and the Senior Center board. He loved helping with his sons’ business projects and in his spare time he enjoyed mushroom hunting, quail hunting, and pheasant hunting, as well as gardening.

     In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Mary Kathleen; son, Bobby Lynn Lowrey; grandsons, Duanne and Dallas Lowrey; brothers, Delbert, Leslie, and Lester Lowrey and sisters, Opal and Maurine Lowrey.

     Jack is survived by his sons, Darryl (Merylan) Lowrey, Tarkio, MO, Stan (Jennie) Lowrey, Pattonsburg, MO, Mark (Debi) Lowrey, Neosho, MO, Kris (Elizabeth) Lowrey, Pattonsburg, MO, and daughter-in-law, Sherry East; grandchildren, Twilla (Kevin) Clark, Tracy (Athen) Jones, Trudy (Ron) Baker, Roxanna Draves, Amanda (Tim) Bohling, Aaron (Kate) Lowrey, Nick Newby, Darin Newby, Tom (Samantha) Newby, Joshua Lowrey, David Lowrey, Micah Lowrey, Jonathan (Rachael) Lowrey, Chelsey (Benjamin) Trembly, Travis (Jennifer) Lowrey, Dillon (Alison) Lowrey; 24 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

     Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11 at the United Methodist Church, Pattonsburg, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO. Burial with Military Rites will follow in Pattonsburg Memorial Gardens, Pattonsburg, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.
