     Rapid City, IA: Ricky James Kinstler 70, of Rapid City passed away October 26,2022 at Monument Hospital. Rick was born on April 19,1952 to Kathleen (Mathis) and Carl Kinstler Jr in Jackson County Missouri.

     He graduated in 1970 from Beaverton High School, Beaverton Oregon.

Rick married Dierdre (DeeDee) Ritsue Ito in 1983 and a son Tyler was born to this union in 1985.

      He made a career of working in the parts departments of various car dealerships and developed a fondness for Volvo. He called the states of Missouri,Oregon,Colorado and South Dakota home. 

     He loved sports and they were a huge part of his life. He started participating in baseball and hockey as a youth and was at hockey practices the week before he passed. In his retirement Rick found a home with the Rapid City Rush and enjoyed attending practices and helping with equipment.

     Rick was a Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed working on his vehicles and motorcycles. He liked driving through the hills and road trips.

     Rick was a great friend and always had an ear if you needed to talk and he would help with whatever he could. He will be greatly missed.

     Rick is survived by son Tyler, sister Connie and some close and great friends and the Rush Hockey Team.

     Rick is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Kathleen and his brother Gary.

     Graveside Memorial Services and Inurnment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30 in Payne Cemetery, Hatfield, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com
