The Wilson-Axline American Legion Post 216 and the Post 216 Auxiliary of Bethany chose four delegates to participate in the 2023 Missouri Boys State and Missouri Girls State. These delegates and their families were honored with an evening meal after completing the program. There were two girls, Riley Friga and Allison Slagle selected from South Harrison, for Girls State and two boys, Andrew Paniamogan and Jackson Thomas, for Boys State.
