Carl Richard Bennett was born February 9, 1957, the oldest son of Bill and Charlene (Preston) Bennett. He graduated from South Harrison High School in 1975. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, never failing to bring home the big one. He loved woodworking and hunting artifacts. They also made many fond memories road-tripping across the country.
He was a great son, brother, and uncle. He always enjoyed playing jokes on his siblings and was the life of every family dinner. He loved sharing his knowledge of Native Americans and crafting things out of the artifacts he found. He made annual visits to his sister’s classroom to share his stories and treasures with students.
He centered his life around his son Garrett and daughter-in-law Emily. He could often be found fixing any and all things at their house or hanging out with them watching golf, football, or fishing on TV. He was a wonderful and devoted father. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Garrett and Emily Bennett. As well as his siblings Barbara (Larry) Simpson, Brenda (Brad) Clark, Belinda Bennett, Billy (Kristi) Bennett and Lisa (Steve) Miles, along with many nieces and nephews.
