Harrison County is getting ready for another big Independence Day celebration.
Local fireworks dealers began selling their firecrackers and sky rockets last Tuesday. The City Council, at its meeting last week, gave residents a couple more days to shoot off firecrackers. The season will now open on Saturday July 1, and extend until Wednesday, July 5.
