Bethany, MO: Dixie Rose Wells, 79, of Bethany, MO, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Harrison County Community Hospital.
She was born April 5, 1936 in Albany, MO, the daughter of Estel Floyd Knisley and Opal M. Dorsey. On December 12, 1956 she married Raymond Wells in Albany, MO. He survives of the home.
Dixie worked as a social services director at Bethany Care Center, a bank teller in Newton, Iowa and a bookkeeper for Wells Implement.
She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Stefani Raye Hamilton; brother, George Robert Knisley; sister, Maxine Swope; and brother-in-laws, Jim Swan and Emory Swope.
Survivors in addition to her husband include: son, Steve (Brenda) Wells, New Virginia, IA; daughter, DeAnne (Kenny) Hamilton, Boone, IA; sister, Louise Swan, Albany, MO; and brother, Larry Max (Lisa) Knisley, Albany, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery, Albany, MO.
