Bethany, MO: Charles Edward Moulin, 66, Bethany, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2022.
Charlie was born in Bethany, Missouri on September 28th, 1955, and graduated from Jameson
High School in 1973. Charlie loved playing basketball all through grade school and high school.
Charlie began his career as a bridge carpenter following high school graduation and worked for
Comanche Construction until retiring as a foreman in the summer of 2019. He had been a member
of Carpenter’s Local No, 110 for 43 years.
In addition to his career as a carpenter, Charlie began playing guitar with his father when he was
12 years old and continued to be passionate about playing music throughout his life. He played
in many local bands including New Day Cowboy, Saddle Tramp & Nightwind. Charlie also enjoyed
playing his guitar with friends at the weekly Wednesday afternoon jam session at the local bar up town.
In addition to playing his guitar, Charlie loved to build and race stock cars with his father and was a favorite in the local stock car circuit in the 1970’s-1990’s.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donnie and Georgia (Anderson) Moulin of Jameson; brother, Richard Lee Moulin and wife, Debbie (Hogan) Moulin.
Charlie is survived by daughter, Kellie (Rinehart) Rice, husband Grant and granddaughters, Genevieve, Francesca & Vivienne all of Chicago; sister, Donna Loxterman, nephew, Justin Loxterman (wife) Krystal, great nieces Skyler Loxterman, and son, (great-great nephew), Devin Chilcoat of St. Joseph, Jayda & Willow Loxterman of Excelsior Springs; sister, DeLynn Moulin, Independence nephew, Tyler Moulin, and daughter (great niece) Emma Moulin of Belton.
Charlie had many friends and family and will be truly missed by all.
Charlie has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Inurnment will follow in Union Grove Cemetery, Gilman City, MO. There is no scheduled family visitation. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
