Kansas City, MO: Donna Lavale James Wilburn “Peggy”,89, of Jamesport Missouri, passed away on November 20, 2021 at Hospice House of Kansas City Missouri.
She was born to Clarence “Jesse” James and Velma Eunice Rinehart on October 22, 1932, in Hatfield Missouri. She grew up on a family farm with four other sisters, where she would much rather be outside by her daddy’s side than doing housework! She graduated Hatfield High School, and then moved to Kansas City where she worked and retired from The City of Kansas City working in data processing. She had and raised two children in Kansas City which she did on her own. After retiring she then wanted a quieter life and moved to Jamesport Missouri where she lived till passed away. She most loved raising her great grandson, Billy Zane Edward Chambers, “Little Billy” in Jamesport Missouri. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her whole life she was in the service of others. Whether it be in the church, or in the community, or in her family. She had a passion for quilting but kept very few for herself, as she was always making them for family members or for those in need. She also enjoyed spending time with her sisters as she was close to them throughout her life. She was in the care of her daughter Billie Rinehart and granddaughter Jaime Rinehart of the home up until she went to Hospice House of Kansas City. She will loving always be remembered for the great selfless woman she was.
She was preceded in death by Jesse and Velma James of Hatfield Missouri, a stillborn brother Billy James of Hatfield Missouri, a sister Linda Joy Ragan “Joy” of Eagleville Missouri.
Survived by daughter Billie Rinehart of Jamesport Missouri, son Terry Wilburn of Kansas City Missouri; three grandchildren Jamie, Rochell, Dylan, and six great grandchildren; sisters are Bonnie Jean Reed of Overland Park, Kansas, Norma Kay “Katie” Campbell of Bethany Missouri, Mary Elizabeth Ury (Connie Ury) of Bythedale, Missouri.
There will be a Celebration of Life will be held on December 11, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2930 Oklahoma Ave, Trenton, Missouri 64683
