Bethany, MO: Steven Clark Glenn, 61, of Bethany, Missouri, passed at his home, peacefully in his sleep July 12, 2021, surrounded by family. He fought a long, hard battle with pulmonary fibrosis and cancer.

Steve graduated from South Harrison High School in 1977 and went to work in construction. He started Glenn Construction with his father. They worked together doing carpentry and construction for more than 40 years. Together, often with a small crew of friends and colleagues, they built a considerable number of businesses and homes in Bethany and the surrounding area. Steve was passionate about his work and loved working with his dad whom he considered not only his mentor but also his best friend.

Steve married Linda Corine Groves, his high school sweetheart and love of his life, on June 3rd, 1978. Together they had two sons. Steve had strong faith in Christ and was baptized. He loved the outdoors, and some of his favorite memories were of hunting and fishing with his sons. Steve was a loving and dedicated family man; his family was his world. He enjoyed spending time with his father and father-in-law, Larry Groves. Steve had fond memories of working with his dad, helping his sons, and playing with his grandchildren. He enjoyed taking his family on vacations. He and Linda took several trips out west. Steve loved the mountains. He was also passionate about leading boy scouts and coaching little league baseball.

Steve is survived by his father; sister; wife; sons, Joseph Robert (Sebrina) and Jeremy Randall (Christina); in-laws, Larry and Janice Groves; and six grandchildren, Devin, Sean, Sa’Reena, Lyla, Autumn, and Elizabeth; and extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents, Gus and Thelma Meinecke and Vernon and Mabel Glenn.

Steve wanted to let everyone know how incredibly grateful he was for all of the help he and Linda had over the years, especially after he got sick. They had incredible support from many friends and family members.
