Jeremiah Searles was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Thursday in Worth County Circuit Court for bludgeoning his former girlfriend Melissa Chapman to death. In an appearance before Circuit Judge Roger Prokes, Searles pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and abandonment of a corpse.
